Comfy Living Room Corner
This little corner of Emily Henderson’s living room is really awesome. The colours really pop against that dark brown feature wall, and I really like the contemporary furniture next to the Morrocan style pieces.

2 ‘Expresso Shot’ and ‘Rich Black’ Dulux emulsion. £12.98 for 1.25l, £1.55 for a tester pot. This should be a DIY really. Paint a feature wall/chimney breast in sharp horizontal stripes. There’s a great blog post on The Inspired Room showing how to paint them well.

1 Who knew you couldn’t dye faux fur the conventional way- or buy a yellow fur cushion anywhere! To DIY you could get a cheap faux fur cushion like this one for £8 from Matalan, and dye using yellow acrylic paint from Hobbycraft for £5.79. I found some videos on YouTube showing how to do it:
2 Buy a plain flat woven rug like this blue one for £50 from Habitat, and some fabric ink such as Permaset (I used to use this for screenprinting). The pattern comes from a cheap rubber doormat like this for £4.99 from Dunelm. Make your own Morrocan style print rug following this tutorial on Apartment Therapy.
